Training
Our instructors are experienced adjusters, having worked multiple catastrophes and for multiple carriers. Cost for transportation, meals and housing are the responsibility of the student. Iowa has very reasonably priced accommodations, and WGI human resources have lists of local bed and breakfasts as well as hotels. Fairfield has lots of great restaurant options, with more restaurants per capita than San Francisco! We have four Thai, two Mexican, Three Indian and Five Italian restaurants within four blocks of our training facility in downtown Fairfield.
Our training facility is modern with industry standard workstations and audio-visual presentation capabilities.

Cancellation fee: $50 processing fee if canceling within two weeks of course start date. Cancellation fees can be applied as a discount to another WGI course of your choice, to be used within one year.

Registrants will be promptly notified and will receive a full refund or be transferred to the equivalent class of their choice within a 12-month period. - This course aims to give attendees a practical understanding of insurance adjusting and learn the skills necessary to begin a successful adjusting career. Its focus will be an explanation of the basic adjusting process, from receiving a claim, inspecting a property, interacting with both the insurance company and the insured, and completing an estimate. Also discussed will be basic construction, mapping techniques, and understanding insurance policies. Real life examples will be used throughout the course as attendees practice their new skills.

Xactimate Level I Training

- Xactimate by Xactware is an industry-standard estimating software used by adjusters, and preferred by many claim handling firms and insurance companies. This course will provide attendees with a deep understanding of the Xactimate software, as well as prepare them for the online Level I certification by walking through several real life estimates. Cost of certification exam is $100 payable directly to Xactimate.

This course focuses on advanced Xactimate topics, including: advanced roof diagramming with Sketch, estimating & line items with Sketch, calculations and reporting.

Texas Adjuster Pre-Licensing Training (Authorized Texas Pre-Licensing Provider)

- The Texas adjuster license is recognized as a valid license in most states. This pre-licensing adjuster training focuses on understanding, interpreting and applying the basic insurance policies used in adjusting insurance claims. Upon completion attendees will have an excellent working knowledge of insurance policies, and be prepared for the in-house exam given at the end of the course. The cost of the exam is included in the tuition. This certificate of completion when sent to Texas Department of Insurance along with the application and fee will make you eligible to receive your Texas adjuster license.

Flood Training

- This course aims to prepare attendees to gain certification enabling them to work flood claims. This is accomplished by providing real-life examples of damage incurred during floods, as well as detailed analysis of policies for these types of losses. 2 Week Commercial Adjuster Training Program

This two-week course is designed for adjusters who already have experience in residential estimating and want to gain a comprehensive understanding of how to manage claims and adjust structural damage to commercial properties..
The course teaches commercial construction materials, methods and regulatory costs. The impact of Building Codes, overhead factors and regional pricing are included in the study of estimating repair or replacement costs for concrete, masonry, structural steel, metal stud framing, glazing, roofing systems, sprinkler systems, electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
Students are introduced to decision making factors in determining possibility of repair of the structural components and mechanical systems. Electrical, mechanical, structural and plumbing details are studied for often overlooked subrogation potential. Demolition, debris removal, hazardous wastes, shoring and temporary protection are covered. Time and material, as well as unit costs, are reviewed and calculated as part of the estimating exercises that are assigned. The role of engineers, plant managers and construction companies is also covered. The total course cost is $1690.

- Students should have some experience in residential damage estimating and be able to write insurance estimates in one or more industry software systems. Xactimate is provided on WGI training computers. Alternatively, students may bring their own laptops and the software of their choice.
